My sister found a baby snake in the river so my brother picked it up, first by the tail and then by the head. We showed it to our aunt and she said it was a viper berus/ European adder/ European viper (I don't know the word for 'adder' in English)! Because it was so small it wasn't to dangerous. I made a picture and then we put it back in the river.
The snake is like "Omg,it's touching me!" xD
Lovely shot! XD I love the face he's pulling!
awwww cute.....amazing photo
I am amazed by this. It's an incredible photo. I love the expression in the snake's gaze. I'm gonna save this and show my dad. He loves photography. I'm pretty into it too, and I'm learning more from him. I've gotten some spectacular shots myself, including one from when I was 8, it's really worth seeing. I haven't posted anything yet, but I might if it's OK with my dad. Anyway this is really cool. I wouldn't be afraid to hold a snake like that. I don't see why so many people are. Agreed?
Yes it isn't a adder but if it was, even if a baby, it is still poisoness (or however you spell that) and could harm you.
I love how the snake is all like "Omg!! someone is touching me!" Such a good picture XD
Oh, and no worries. It's not an adder. It's a nonvenomous member of the colubrid family. Look how round its pupils are. Also, it lacks the distinct zig zag pattern of the adder. The snake you have there is the harmless grass snake (Natrix natrix).
Love the expression on that little guy's face.
And teh snake goes "ahhhhhhh!" XD
auuuuu, it hurts
but still nice shot
but still nice shot
nice shot, really. the only (theoretical) problem is that vipers actually haven't got round shaped pupils, but like cats, and their head is way bigger on the back because of the poison sack. Vipera berus also has a different texture..it is more like some Natrix species, or copper snake, which are non-venomous.
Great shot.. It looks kind of scared
aww what a cute little snake
nice snake and nice shot
